The General Election Meeting of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics
On August 9, 2023, the second Committee election conference of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society was successfully held online. Xu Xiaodong, Vice president and Secretary general of the Chinese Geriatric Society, Zhao Inheritance, deputy secretary general, and candidates of the second committee of the Pathology Branch attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Qiu Xueshan, School of Basic Medicine, China Medical University.
Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary General read out the approval of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society. Professor Lu Zhaohui, Chairman of the first Committee of the Pathology Branch, reported on the preparatory work of the second committee of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society. Deputy Secretary-General Zhao Jianguo read out the "Report on the qualification examination of Committee members" and the election method.
According to the constitution of the Chinese Geriatric Society, the Pathological Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society elected the second committee and the leading team in accordance with the prescribed procedures. Professor Lu Zhaohui of Peking Union Medical College Hospital was re-elected as the second Chairman of the Pathological Branch Committee; Eight professors, Han An 'an, Liu Bin, Meng Gang, Qiu Xueshan, Wang Jian, Zhang Hongying, Zhao Po and Zhou Jianhua, were elected vice presidents of the second Committee of the Pathological Society. President Lu Zhaohui appointed Shi Jie as the director general of the second session of the Pathological Branch Committee, Sun Qi and Lin Yani as deputy directors general.
Professor Lu Chaohui, the elected president, said that he would lead the second Committee of the Pathology Society to focus on the purpose of the society, and on the basis of regular work such as actively formulating professional standards and expert consensus, focus on the training of young pathologists and the training of grassroots public welfare pathologists, and actively promote the in-depth cooperation between the Pathology Society and the geriatric clinical professional branches of the society. Through academic exchange activities such as various forms of clinicopathological discussions, we will promote the development of geriatrics and contribute to the construction of a healthy China.
