The 2025 Academic Conference of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society was successfully held
Focusing on precise imaging of the elderly to jointly explore a new chapter in the development of the discipline
On August 15, 2025, the "2025 Academic Conference of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and the Exchange Conference on the Construction of Medical Imaging Discipline" was successfully held online, hosted by the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and organized by the Department of Radiology Diagnosis of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital.
Professor Fan Li, President of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and honorary Director of the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital), and Professor Lou Xin, Chairperson of the conference, President of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and Director of the Radiology Department of the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital, Professor Chen Min, the incoming chairperson of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Party Committee of Beijing Hospital, and the chief expert of the Radiology Department, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. The opening ceremony was presided over by General Director Lyu Jinhao of the Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society.
This conference attracted over 13,000 participants from all over the country, including radiology experts, scholars and professionals in related fields, who participated online. The conference conducted in-depth discussions on the latest progress, clinical applications and future development directions of geriatric radiology, covering multiple hot fields such as precise diagnosis, artificial intelligence-assisted technology and multimodal image fusion. The guests attending the conference jointly explored new paths to improve the quality of geriatric radiological medical services through keynote speeches, special topic discussions and case sharing.
The Radiology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society is a subordinate branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society. It is a non-profit social organization dedicated to the research and clinical treatment of geriatric radiology. The branch was officially established in Beijing in March 2017 and elected its second committee on July 3, 2022. At present, the president of the branch is Professor Lou Xin. There are 122 committee members, among whom 33 are standing committee members or above and 89 are committee members. Members of the branch include radiological medicine and related professionals from general hospitals and geriatric specialized hospitals across the country. The aim of the branch is to unite scientific and technological workers engaged in geriatric radiology across the country and actively promote the development of geriatric radiology in China towards standardization.
