On June 8, 2024, the launch meeting of the Standard Community pilot project of the Geriatric Medical Institution Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society for "Community Elderly Nutrition Management Service Standards" was successfully held in Beijing.
Hu Xianfeng, Director of the Management Committee of China Aging Development Foundation, Gao Jianwu, chief expert of the Grid Branch of China Communications Industry Association, Gong Lihua, Executive Director of Healthy China Project Management Center, General manager of Meijia Care and Senior Care Service (Beijing) Co., LTD., He Chong, Manager of Beijing Santai Care Group, Senior Care Division, Jiang Yansong, Chairman of the Food Green Standards Working Committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, and other guests and experts from medical institutions at all levels in Beijing, community health service centers and elites from all walks of life who focus on elderly nutrition and health witnessed the launch of the standard community pilot project.
The launch of the standard community pilot project aims to focus on the status quo and development of nutrition management for the elderly in the community, and demonstrate the important role of nutrition management in the field of elderly health. To explore the core of nutrition management for the elderly in the community, through the close cooperation between medical and community volunteer teams, to build a seamless new model of nutrition management service for the elderly in the community. It is hoped that the promotion of the project results can delay the physical function decline of the elderly in the community, prevent chronic diseases, improve their quality of life, and contribute to the construction of healthy China.
At the meeting, Director Li of the geriatric Department of Hepingli Hospital, the pilot unit, represented the medical team to show their close cooperation with the community team to jointly provide high-quality nutrition management services for the elderly; The volunteer team of the community team also appeared at the venue, made a volunteer oath and brought a wonderful finger health exercise performance, which won bursts of applause.
The successful holding of the launch meeting not only laid a solid foundation for the smooth promotion of the pilot project of standardized nutrition management services for the elderly in the community, but also injected new vitality into the healthy development of China's elderly care cause.
