In order to celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Fifth National Vascular Health Management Summit Forum for the Elderly and the sixth stop of VTE Prevention and Control Wisdom Cloud Tour - Yan 'an Station, co-sponsored by the Chinese Geriatric Society Peripheral Vascular Disease Management Branch, West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Shenzhen Hospital of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was successfully held online on May 30, 2021.

The event was jointly organized by Gansu Provincial People's Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and the Affiliated Hospital of Yan 'an University. Professor Zhao Jichun is the chairman of the conference, Professor Chen Quan and Professor Liu Jianlin are the co-chairmen of the conference, Professor Wang Tao is the executive chairman, and Professor Zhang Shengjun is the co-executive chairman of the conference. The tour began after watching the documentary The Spirit of Yan 'an.

The experts at the meeting respectively brought wonderful academic sharing, Professor Zhao Jichun on the elderly VTE treatment and challenges to share; Professor Chen Quan talked about the optimal management strategy of anticoagulation course for VTE patients; Prof. Liu Jianlin talked about "VTE Individualized Treatment Strategy"; Prof. Zhang Shengjun shared "Standardized Treatment of Chronic Lower Limb Venous Diseases"; Professor Ji Jun talked about "Metabolic Frontier Research of VTE"; Head nurse Liu Chunli shared "Identification and Prevention of Deep vein Thrombosis in elderly patients". The academic session was presided over by Professor Zhao Jichun and Professor Wang Tao. Subsequently, Professor Zhao Jichun organized the experts to have a heated discussion and reached a lot of consensus.

President Zhao Jichun, Professor Chen Quan, Professor Liu Jianlin, Professor Wang Tao and Professor Zhang Shengjun said that the tour activity conducted in-depth discussions and exchange on the construction of hospital VTE diagnosis and treatment norms, optimal management strategies for anticoagulation treatment of VTE patients, individualized strategies, cutting-edge research of VTE, identification and prevention of deep vein thrombosis in elderly patients, etc. It is of great significance to improve the diagnosis and treatment level of senile vascular diseases in Yan 'an area.
