Focus on the judgment and treatment of geriatric emergencies outside the hospital — — The second salon of "Geriatric Medical Care and Health Management" of Chinese Geriatric Association
The Chinese Geriatric Society held its second geriatric Medical Care and Health Management salon at the PLA General Hospital on August 19. Qin Xiaoling, deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Geriatric Society, attended the salon, and more than 30 medical and nursing professionals from the PLA General Hospital, Peking University Hospital, Army General Hospital and other top three hospitals, including directors, head nurses, managers of elderly care institutions, and Internet medical service platform operators and principals attended the salon. Experts shared their experiences on the judgment and management of elderly emergencies.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Hu Yixin, executive director of the Chinese Geriatric Society, director of the International Exchange Center, Director of the Hypertension Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, and deputy chief physician of the Health care Department of the PLA General Hospital, led the participants to review the wonderful content of the first salon, and discussed the relevant content with the actual cases: Elderly patients with nasal feeding tube after discharge for home care, when there is a critical life situation, how should the caregiver around the elderly timely rescue? How to ensure that the elderly themselves swallow normally, prevent functional degradation and avoid aspiration?
An in-depth discussion of the above topics leads to the core content of this salon. Dr. Qin Yuhong, head of the Emergency Department of Peking University International Hospital, gave a lecture on "First Aid Cardiopulmonary resuscitation at Home"; Wang Na, chief physician of Rehabilitation Medicine Department of South Building of PLA General Hospital, gave a lecture on Home Care and functional Exercise for the elderly with dysphagia disorder; Zhang Jing, Operation director of Zhongtian Yixin Enterprise Management Service Co., LTD., gave a lecture on the confusion and Countermeasures of medical problems in elderly care institutions; Zhang Haiyan, director of the geriatric Department and chief physician of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, gave a lecture on the Management of Diabetes patients.
At the same time, we exchanged and discussed on each topic. After the lecture, we gained a lot of feedback and put forward some suggestions. Finally, Deputy Secretary-General Qin Xiaoling made a summary of the meeting, she said that the Chinese Geriatric Society "Geriatric Medical care and health management" salon will continue to hold corresponding activities, welcome everyone to participate.
